Yes oh yes, the fun is definitely over. Not only am I back in the office today (I love my job, but I hate having to leave my comfy bed!) but I am back in the arctic with the following weather forecast for this week:
Yikes. Today it was -26, but with a windchill of -36. Once it gets past -20, it all just feels damn cold to me. I was dragging my feet when it came to getting ready this morning until I told myself to get out of this funk and into a bright, but warm dress.
And so I did.

I tried out pillow rollers last night, but they were not as successful as I had hoped. But with a little brushing, hairspray and a good hat, I made it work - and with much more of a 60s vibe than my usual hairstyle would have had. And with such a bright and patterned dress, I decided to tone it down with my make-up by forgoing red lippy for more of a nude-pink shade.

Do you have a favourite no-so-fair-weathered friend that you pull out when the temperature drops? I'd love to know!

I like wearing a bright pink chiffon scarf over black cashmere! Sometimes cold makes me feel city chic for some reason...
Beautiful dress! That was a great find!
